September 17 – What Is The Affordable Care Act and How Will It Affect My Family


The Affordable Care Act (ACA), also called Obamacare, will be fully implemented January 1, 2014. The Marketplace for health insurance will be open nationally October 1 2013. Jerusha Hancock from Nebraska Appleseed will present factual information about the ACA, its implementation and how will it affect families across the state.


September 24 – How Do I Pay For That?

How Do I Pay For That? Will explore resources for funding. It will cover many opportunities of funding through privet agencies, community groups and fundraising events. Participants will learn about the sources for other funding, how to review them and apply for funding.
