PTI Webinars are back!

Parent Training and Information (PTI) of Nebraska is again offering it’s hourly webinars. For one hour – sign in and learn about a variety of topics through the year. 

 On September 18, 2012 the PTI Webinar is:

 Early Childhood Services

 What is available for babies and young children?  What is the role of the family?  What will happen for the little ones. Join this webinar to learn it all.  Our guest speaker this month is Connie Shockley from PTI Nebraska is the information specialist for the Early Development Network (EDN) and Preschool Services.

 PTI Webinars will be presented two times. 

            Lunch and Learn at 12:30 – 1:30pm CT (11:30am to 12:30pm MT)

            Late Night Learning at 8:30 – 9:30pm CT (7:30-8:30 MT)

Coming in October – Two webinars.  1st Thursday and 3rd Tuesday.

 October 4th – What’s the Big I.D.E.A.

Parents need to be informed about what special education laws state should be considered and included in their child’s Individual Education Program (IEP) so they can make sure their child’s unique educational needs are being met.  It’s important that parents are knowledgeable about all aspects of the IEP program so they can be effective advocates for their child.  This IEP workshop will help parents gain the knowledge and the tools they need in order to make the best decisions for their child’s education.  Jenn Miller – IEP Law specialist from PTI Nebraska will be our guest on the 4th of October
